Temple View Capital (TVC) announced that senior executive Dan Stump has been promoted to Interim Chief Operating Officer andChief Risk Officer of the 14-year-old private lender. With more than $2B in assets to lend, Mr. Stump will be charged with guiding the firm’s operational growth on both the retail and correspondent sides of their business.

“I have worked alongside the TVC Principals for over a decade and have waited for the right opportunity to join the team,” Mr. Stump explained.  “TVC is approaching the private credit marketplace from a uniquely qualified angle.  Our strength as a money manager comes from our direct experience as a real estate operator in both whole loan originations and work outs, whereas many of our competitors lean on fundraising and closed loan transactional capabilities.”

In his new role, Mr. Stump will work to generate returns for TVC’s investors while fostering high-quality careers for TVC’s employees.  He will help scale the business through refining the firm’s mix of lending products, improving processes and workflows and implementing new technologies.

“TVC is well-positioned to grow our business and take leadership in the non-consumer residential sector,” he added.

Mr. Stump brings more than a decade of mortgage investments experience, most recently serving as the head of finance, transactions, and operations for Neuberger Berman’s residential mortgage private equity funds.  He is an honors graduate from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and has earned Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certifications.

“We’ve known Dan a long time,” said Co-Founder and Principal Michael Niccolini. “Bringing someone of his caliber to our leadership team allows us to be competitive with the largest private lenders in the country.”

TVC also strengthened its approach to investor-client relationships through the strategic hiring of two additional staff members, each uniquely positioned to develop specific areas of TVC’s business.

·     Vincent D’Amore joined as a Business Development Manager for TVC with a background in a blend of transactional experience coupled with superior risk management, analytical, and financial/asset level due diligence skills. He previously worked for PeerStreet and Apollo GlobalManagement LLC.

·     Also from PeerStreet, Todd Schumer brings to TVC his background in business development and sales management to fill in the role of National Sales Manager. Prior to PeerStreet, Schumer served as All California Funding’s Vice President of Development and Investor Relations for nearly fourteen years.
